Melksham had one and Chippenham's pool was where the flat expanse of grass is now in Monkton Park, by The Olympiad. It was a 50 yard pool too, so there was loads of space. It was a bit difficult doing backstroke during swimming training though as you tended to start following the clouds!

Matron - I do hope so. However, I'm a bit concerned how there's going to be sufficient access and parking to make it viable.VPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02732971362066784175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4793702278130036246.post-33819644020878703842009-09-13T17:57:38.867+01:002009-09-13T17:57:38.867+01:00Let's hope someone finds some money to repair ...Let's hope someone finds some money to repair that wonderful place.Matronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07705506930308472527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4793702278130036246.post-80861045684258568172009-09-13T16:07:18.462+01:002009-09-13T16:07:18.462+01:00I like outdoor pools too. When the tide flooded it would fill and then when it ebbed it created a swimming pool - complete with the the occasional jelly fish!

There is still a paddling pool on the seafront at Aberystwyth which is very popular in the summer. And another very good outdoor pool in Hathersage in the Peak District. The bike shedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05195882998271591934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4793702278130036246.post-87219189035556588952009-09-13T14:43:38.574+01:002009-09-13T14:43:38.574+01:00I've been to the botanical gardens in Clevelan...I've been to the botanical gardens in Cleveland, too!
