I never tire of them.

Dnd - It's one of my favourite places and fingers crossed for clear skies in November!

AG - I'm dying to ask the question, 'so what does an archaeoastronomer do and how do you go about becoming one?'!

Emmat - Ooh I remember the red kites over the Chilterns. Very special. You must have been walking in the beech woods there?

Kate - lovely to hear from you! And it was a marvellous walk in the best of Autumn weather :)

Anna - if you do make it there, we muct meet up :)VPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02732971362066784175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4793702278130036246.post-82610761025218251062008-10-16T22:59:00.000+01:002008-10-16T22:59:00.000+01:00It looks like a lovely part of the world VP - unbe...It looks like a lovely part of the world VP - unbeknown to me and I must rectify the situation one of these days. Sunday was a beautiful afternoon here in the north west too - I spent it at the lottie where I managed to get my garlic planted which was enjoyable but sadly no cuppa and cake in the offing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4793702278130036246.post-3948652604608179722008-10-14T04:25:00.000+01:002008-10-14T04:25:00.000+01:00Avesbury in starlight would be amazing. There is just something special about the circle.

I also fell in love with the tree roots and took lots of photographs of them but sadly it was before I got my good camera (and left the country) so I can't enlarge the photographs as much as I would like.

A moonlight visit would be quite something wouldn't it.dNDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00531819276422542672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4793702278130036246.post-14623293084609132782008-10-13T12:03:00.000+01:002008-10-13T12:03:00.000+01:00Avesbury is one of my favourite places, it's atmos...Avesbury is one of my favourite places, it's atmosphere for some reason is far greater than Stonehenge. We used to walk the area a lot when the children were small, with friends who lived in Calne and Hiltop. It is a beautiful area.

Love your photograph of the tree roots, they are spectacular.Zoƫhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09838367166662822058noreply@blogger.com
