GBMD: What are we doing?

I loved the blackboard we saw on our recent visit to Helmsley Walled Garden. It's a neat, humourous version of the usual "what's looking good at the moment?" often seen at the entrance of various National Trust properties. I like that it acknowledges the hard work needed to keep a garden looking good, for now and the future.

What are you doing in your garden this week? I'm still catching up with the post-holiday weeding!

And what are you wondering or swooning over?

    1. We seem to be omitting the lawn mowing at the moment Alison. NAH has started referring to 'the meadow'...

  6. Looking at the garden which desperately needs weeding, wishing I had time for weeding and then going in to sort out the kids... :-(

    1. It can be tough when the world is racing by - I've taken to installing a rule that I have to pull at least 1 weed every time I venture outside. Little and often seems to be working at home. On the other hand... being further away, the allotment weeds are getting away too!

  7. It winters very. Heavy rain. Bitterly cold. But tomorrow ... hope to get back to pruning and tidying.

    1. Of course, it's winter where you are Diana. We've just waved goodbye to some friends from Oz who've been staying with us. They said our poor summer's made them feel like they're getting a double winter this year!

  8. A comment that I made earlier seems not to have materialised so this is a test.
