Things in Unusual Places #22: Tea cup

Giant tea cup and saucer planter stuffed with large succulents

In the past I've dismissed the giant cup and saucer planters you can buy as a bit twee and kitsch. However, this understated blue one stuffed with large succulents - which graced the shop window of a local funeral directors - made my day yesterday.

    1. Strangely whilst I've seen plenty of them for sale, this is the first time I've seen one actually being used. Sounds like you've seen plenty of them Sue.

    1. Hi Brian, that's why it's a perfect fit for my Unusual Places strand. I think it's part of our local town's Spring window display competition.

  7. Big tea cups have their place as a display (I almost bought one for my mum to put in her conservatory). I like this one but can't help wishing they'd planted it with sempervivens, an ironic link to their business! :D
