ReplyDeleteI am afraid Spring does not arrive until April 1st 2011 as far as I am concerned. Continuous rain all day today has confirmed my instinct to hibernate till then!.
Tee hee - I'm usually months late with my bulb planting. I'm trying my friend Threadspider's approach to autumn this year. She thinks of it as a beginning rather than an end like usually do.

I currently seem to be better at buying more bulbs than I am at planting the ones I'd already got... And now apparently tomorrow is going to be wet, so I shall just sit here envying you your organisation and your purple trug... But I do love the fact that just as the garden heads towards dormancy you plant these funny little brown things that will turn into wonderful spring colour. Definitely a beginning!
ReplyDeleteLu - I'd like to say they were put together very carefully, but it was a lucky styling accident!
ReplyDeleteJanet - don't worry, most years I've been months late with my planting and things have turned out OK. The trick is to make sure they're kept in a dark, cool place and they don't dry out.
Hehe, I think Spring can stay in March/April for me too rather than October.
