GBMD: Another summer's Day

Alliums in my June garden
From: A Something in a Summer's Day

The rich purple alliums bobbling through my garden confirm it's June, and the start of summer.

Shame the weather here at VP Gardens today doesn't agree - I often think the phrase 'Flaming June' can be taken two ways ;)

Comments

  1. We need some sort of confirmation that it is summer. The weather isn't doing it.

    1. Indeed we do Sue. We're coming up to Yorkshire soon - I'll be packing my winter woollies at this rate!

  2. One of my favourites, VP - a great image and quote too. Mine are loving the sunshine here, they are just opening. It's been too warm to do any heavier gardening jobs here - not the usual weather comparisons between our areas. Wishing you sunshine soon, we are needing some of your rain - but I'm being careful what I'm wishing for. I'll stick with the watering cans for now ;-)

  3. Everything seems to be purple down here at the moment - alliums, iris, geraniums, aquilegia, clematis etc - but I love it.
